Pottery Ludwig

One of the oldest potteries in the village, this is a traditional and authentic production where the potter, Michel, has changed nothing from the way his father or grandfather worked. Here, for example, sizing is done in the purely traditional way: plaster moulds are placed on an eccentric-axis lathe to produce the shape of the ellipse (oval, round). This is the last potter to use this method. The shop is open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 5pm, non-stop. Sundays and public holidays from 10am to 4pm. Self-guided tours of the workshop from Monday to Friday. Guided tours in French, German and English are available for groups of between 10 and 50 people (€2 per person), Monday to Sunday by prior arrangement. School groups are not accepted.
