Mr Cousin - that's his name - is a shy statistician. To make up for his lack of affection, he has adopted a python and named it Gros-Câlin. His cheerful optimism is ridiculous, pathetic and above all very moving. He wants to tell his story and get it all out in the open. Having a python in the house doesn't make socialising any easier. Especially as Mr Cousin is in love with Miss Dreyfus, his office colleague. And he drags us along for the ride. and we're all in it together!
