Exhibition: Toutes les nuits tu restais là

A photographer of the uncanny, Olivier Metzger looks to light to reveal hidden things, like David Lynch, whose Smile (Forever) series was his favorite at Paris Photo in 2012. His style is characterized by complex lighting, enigmatic settings and a melancholy atmosphere. La Filature pays tribute to the Alsatian photographer, who was soon in demand by many editorial offices for his singularly dramatic portraits. After his death in 2022, we are left with his images and the memory of an inspired and demanding photographer who was one of the most reliable forces of his generation.
