To mark the Journées du Patrimoine and celebrate 800 years of Mulhouse city walls, discover Odile Fillion's documentary film on the Cité Manifeste in Mulhouse. To mark its 150th anniversary in 2001, the Société Mulhousienne des Cités Ouvrières (SOMCO) launched an ambitious social housing project, the Cité Manifeste, delivered in 2005. In her documentary film, Odile Fillion interviews the chosen architects about the daring solutions they implemented to overcome technical and financial constraints, thus enabling greater spatial generosity and a new way of living. The screening will be followed by a talk by historian Marie-Claire Vitoux. Her work has focused on 19th-century employer-worker relations, using Mulhouse as an example, and on the memory of the Second World War in Alsace. Registration required by telephone. Only in French.
