Built in 1890 on the site of the city's former cemeteries, this 2-hectare area was the first public garden created in Mulhouse. In addition to the lawns, paths and large trees, the park is romantic in style and includes a pond with a small bridge and flowerbeds. In the auditorium built in the centre of the park, concerts are held in the summer and the park itself is often used for city events. The park is adjoined by a playground. It is also a large green area, ideal for relaxing, picnicking and walking.
