Saturday

  • Guided tour: behind the scenes at the Humanist Library at 10.30 am. Accompanied by a mediator, discover a place that is usually inaccessible to the public: the book and object reserves, inaugurated in 2018 as part of the library's renovation work. 45 minutes, very limited places, booking required.
  • Guided tour: permamente exhibition at 11am. Guided by a mediator, discover the precious collections of the Humanist Library. 1 hour, limited seating.
  • Animation: paper swords from 2pm to 5.30pm. Take your inspiration from the engravings in an ancient work to make terrific swords and magnificent ancient paper headdresses. You'll be fully equipped to enjoy the En garde ! exhibition. An educational workshop, ideal for children
  • Self-guided tour: discover the secrets of some exceptional works and explore the En garde ! exhibition from 10am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 6pm. Immerse yourself in the adventure of the book, from medieval manuscripts to Renaissance prints. Travel back in time in the footsteps of Beatus Rhenanus, a 16th-century scholar. Use our interactive tools to discover the secrets of our precious works. Take advantage of these days to discover the permanent exhibition, as well as the temporary exhibition En garde ! Explore different aspects of the history and representation of fencing from the 16th century to the present day, with a few masterpieces of cloak-and-dagger literature as your common thread. Ideal for children.
