" Advent is a time for empathy; these 4 voices sing to you the terrible story of the black slaves who worked until the 19th century on the cotton and tobacco plantations in the American South! "
As part of the Christmas charity concerts in the Pays de Sainte-Odile, this concert is given by the Quartet Gospel. The concert benefits the Obern'aide and Les Amis des Pensionnaires des Berges de l'Ehn associations. The Quartet Gospel is four voices singing and telling the terrible story of the black slaves who worked until the 19th century on the cotton and tobacco plantations in the American South. It was they who created Gospel, that original, rhythmic, deeply authentic music, nourished by pain and despair, which you'll hear at this concert. Since 2018, the Quartet Gospel has performed in numerous churches in the Vosges, Franche-Comté and Alsace.
