During the 19th century, Lutzelhouse was home to a cotton and worsted yarn spinning mill, a water mill and a mechanical sawmill. Close to the factory, the Scheidecker family had a castle built including impressive entrance steps, a hunting lodge and stables. Today, this is one of the finest industrial sites in the Bruche Valley, and is currently home to a company.
