The Château de Salm is located in an exceptional stretch of forest in the Vosges sandstone mountains of the Bruche Valley. A medieval path which has been partially restored leads up to the castle from the Salm plateau. Built at an altitude of 800 m by Henri III of Salm, benefactor of the Abbey of Senones. All that remains today is a vaulted cistern and a tower dating from the 14th century, which has recently been restored. The dynamic Association of Protectors of Salm Heritage are currently pursuing the castle's restauration.
