Concert - When blues meets jazz...

The Saint-Louis Blues Band (alias SLBB) is a big band made up of 22 musicians under the musical direction of Jean-Claude André. A multi-faceted orchestra, the SLBB's repertoire spans the entire history of jazz, from blues and funk to contemporary music. Invited to play at festivals in Montreux, Munster, Basel and Mulhouse, the SLBB likes to rub shoulders with such jazz greats as Archie Shepp, Lisette Spinnler, Ann Malcolm, Michel Hausser, Adrian Mears and Michel Godard.
Accompanied by vocalist Manu Hartmann and trumpeter Marc Ullrich, ‘Double mixte’ highlights the contrasts, similarities and influences of jazz and blues.
